I know other countries airlines allow beards, and I know Hawaiian allows them, but was unsure about JetBlue, or any others.

Any info would be appreciated (except your personal opinion on why you don't like beards)
That's awesome they were able to make an exception for you! I truly hope this absurd rule starts changing. Kinda getting tired of being called "baby face" "15 year old" by passengers because I am young and not allowed to grow a beard.

I didn’t think any us carriers allowed beards. Would love for it to change. It only took me hitting 30 and I could finally grow one.

We used to allow goatees here, but that changed maybe 4-5 years ago. I haven’t seen any beards since then. Our FOM prohibits it, but I am not sure what the answer would be if you have a medical condition.

I will be honest and say I doubt we will go back to allowing beards. Our branding/marketing departments are strongly in control of the airline and uniform standards/appearance related issues are huge here.

I will say though, I have a killer Reserve Beard going right now. 9 days so far!

If you happen to be local to Boston, maybe look at Cape Air since they allow beards I believe.

our flight attendants can have beards. but for pilots, I would go to Icelandair. beards seem to be mandatory there.

Era pilots can have beards too, I assume it’s to protect themselves from Alaska’s frigid temps in winter and to store food inside of in the event of a forced bush landing while they rescue themselves.

If they cared about uniforms/appearance, they would invest in uniforms that don't look cheap and would pay for tailoring (not reimburse you from uniform stipend funds). The Caring value--as with the other four--is suspended when the price tag gets too high.
