Or, work your a$$ off, make a ton of extra money, and retire early. So many options in this industry.

You sound like a liberal.
Guess what. I'll budget for whatever I want to budget. And even if I do budget for 70, if I want to pick up a trip for 1.5/double time, I'll do it. Especially if it means dropping other standard rate trips. More time off. Isn't that what you're advocating for?
Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. When we're in a contract dispute, that's an entirely different animal. Until then, mind your own business.

Going below you contractual negotiated days off using RSAs and VDAs is completely unacceptable. My old airlines this was frowned upon and could expect a call from a union person. I guess we’re far off from the Hoffa days.

Wow that’s interesting. ALPA or Teamsters gets richer the more you credit.

You guys can do whatever you want, I honestly stopped caring a long time ago and accepted the fact this pilot group is a lost cause. The same guys picking up RSA/VDA are the same ones that B!tch about the contract they voted for or have no clue what they actually voted for. It’s the same guys that complain about not being able to drop stuff because the reserve grid doesn’t allow it. I know for June in BOS the grid was red/black before the first Pu/drop window even opened. They actually ran negative reserve numbers with the bid results. It was contract compliant in the end, but way short on planned reserve and in no way how an airline should be run. They got plenty of helpers to help them about with daily RSAs and VDAs, so why have more reserve. In the end, it hurts everyone but our group isn’t smart enough to realize that.

What would bot picking up VDAs accomplish when this group overwhelmingly votes yes to terrible CBAs?
