It’s a valid concern. Odds are in your favor if there is no drastic change in management or a merger. I could see those events being detrimental and “reshuffle the deck.” Also the longer this drags out the more likely a pool gets flushed, but I don’t know if you can say that happens at 1 year. My gut says it would be longer than that. There will most likely be many potential applicants for them to choose from, in the pool they already have guys who wanted to be here vs guys just looking for any job that comes along.

And if it was my company I’d rather take the guy without the seniority number at another airline.

Obviously different circumstances but my new hire class was in the pool for 14 months before starting class in 2013. We just had to update background check and drug test.

I appreciate everyone’s perspective and sharing their thoughts. As someone who was 5 days away from starting I’d be ecstatic to get “stuck” with training pay indefinitely. At least I’d have the relative security of being in company.

Regardless of circumstance definitely the place I want to be so keeping the faith!

out of curiosity when did you interview? (You were supposed to be in the late March class, correct?)

It does but it wouldn’t make sense for it to be any earlier. What if you wash out? Our training pay is the issue not the cutover. Could be worse our cut overs for other positions is completion of OE or 4 weeks after LOE.

Dl has the same issue, indefinite training pay (although ours is much higher than B6, it’s still way lower than line/ reserve guarantee). I’ve seen some places have a time limit on training pay, like completion of LOE or 4 months after DOH whichever comes first.

any idea of those on trg pay at B6 will be back to work anytime soon?
