You had better get there early if you want to get on!
On the other end of the spectrum I flew with someone that ran two engines on the ground for an hour and thirty minutes even after 4 reroutes and a corridor closure. 2 hours in it necessitated a needless return to gate. Efficient flying techniques are just fine with me when we're sweating the fuel. But then again, I'm on a first name basis with an NTSB board member so I'm confident my version of the ensuing emergency is going to be well received.Originally Posted by JETUPANDGO
One year in, I have yet to fly with a CA that took the walk. Lots of pushing early, single engine taxi, and very efficient flying techniques. Lots of good ole company guys taking care of mother Blue. You had better get there early if you want to get on!

LOL that would mean they would actually have to PAY more for having an on time operation. That ain't gonna happen, they would rather push everybody twice as hard to try to work with these unrealistic turn times and under blocked flights.Originally Posted by capt707
Only 1 of my flights last trip was on time. They need to adjust the block times and the turn times, only way I feel you can improve your On-time performance. A 45 minute turn with a fully loaded A320 is just not going to happen, even with both incoming CA and FO cleaning up snot rags in the back when we took over the plane.
