I think The Lodge is fine for recurrent and convenient if you get the midnight or 3am sims during new hire training and just have to walk next door, but after 2 weeks in that place you are just bluejuiced out and need to GTFO! Luckily a lot of us had cars and we went off campus quite a bit, especially those last 2 weeks, I think we ate more off campus than the cafeteria.
Keep the $26/day, bring back training pay to what it was, pay new hires the per diem and put them in a hotel!

What type of number did he/she has?

Unless you are a west coast guy or something I would highly recommend driving. You will go stir crazy at the Lodge.
I brought my truck and boat to training. Well it was transition training. Still you are going to want to get outta there. Having someone watch your every move (3cameras at the bar, six outside by the pool, key in key out at most all doors)gets old quick.

Think you're a little short on TT. Especially with no recommendations.

I didn't get called until I hit 4000TT, that seems to be true of most people I've spoken to.
