I’m very lucky, in that my wife was a FA at one time, and understands this job a lot better than someone who sees it from the “outside”, or is new to the “airline life”.
If I don’t go out, and sight see, or if I am a “slam clicker” at times, she is the one that reminds me how awesome it is that I get to travel the world...in a really big airplane. She encourages me to get out and see places, that many will only see in pictures, or on tv.
And at this job, I get to be home for long stretches too, which to us, beats doing 3-5 day trips with 3-4 days off between them...and wasting some of that trying to commute to/from work.
