I'd be more worried about fatigued calls. Plus y'all have like 50 captains for only 8 planes.

Fatigue calls are increasing. The schedule is very difficult when guys are taken off their line and randomly reassigned. Very weak work rules. Consistent abuse of reserve assignments. Scheduling doesn’t seem to mind, they have a job to do and are concerned with the present, not two days from now. Crews are pushing back. Could lead to some cancellations, especially since there’s no reserve lines.

Lets not start this crap...if you're sick, you're sick, call out. If you're fatigued, you're fatigued, call out.

The union and scheduling are trying to work together to solve 76 scheduling problems and being a dick to the scheduler, or calling in sick like a child because you didn't get your way, is only going to make that more difficult for us to do.

What crap do you assume is being started? I'm fatigued just glancing at their schedules in MISA, and I'm at home in my gym shorts.

This seems to be something you should address in the following order: The scheduling duty manager at the time of your assignment, Your fleet manager, your union (yes, I purposely put them third because they can't act if you haven't tried to fix your problem yourself), your assistant chief pilot, your chief pilot and as a last resort your local FAA office. Unless you are posting it here so that people can decide whether to come to Kalitta Air which is a perfectly acceptable answer but will do nothing to fix your problem. If however you want to try and correct the deficiencies of the 767 scheduling I suggest you follow the above.

Anyone have access to the full article?

Who else was awarded 777s from this group of 14-21 from DHL?

This a DHL decision and operational decision. This does not represent air cargo as a whole. There’s nothing that will haul what a whale can as far as weight vs economics and range. Boxes are important, not all operations are boxes. There’s actual freight that only aircraft like a 74 or something built by the USSR can haul. .85 and still not at Vmo.

You don’t think anything will replace the 747?
