Kalitta Air (K4) Information

I don't really understand the whining from a few people(at least captains) about life on the 767. Not a single one of you was forced to go to that airframe. I was here before we got the planes and knew exactly what the schedule would be and as such chose not to bid it. So knowing what it would be like why are you now biatching about the schedule. It's hub turns. Every freight airline since the Wright brothers that flies freight hub turns has had the same type schedule. There are plenty of old AIA guys here that would've told you what it was going to be like.

If you think K4 is every routinely going to let 76 crews fly from the out station to the hub.. or vice versa and only fly that every night ..you are dreaming... sure occasionally it will happen.. but they are generally going to get both inbound and outbound segments from the crews

I agree and it’s too bad, especially for the crews. Since scheduling is unable to make the numbers work on their own, maybe they could just copy the Atlas way? At the very least, hire someone from Atlas crew scheduling who will divulge this coveted super secret strategy. If all else fails, I suppose crews will just need to start fatiguing out.
