Yes this could be true, or maybe both, or maybe nobody. Point is questions about what K4 plans are are unknown and just about anybody who tell you differently is wrong. The only thing you can count on this day and this hour is that pilots are the shortage in the current operation. We will continue to hire and train as fast as we can until we don’t.

I applied here at K4 and my application is at second review. I haven't heard back since the email was sent 3 months ago. I'm currently working in the middle east with
5000 TT, 3400 SIC Turbine (All International)
I was just offered upgrade with bond of 30k for three years. Honestly speaking I would prefer K4 however I'm worried to miss the opportunity of getting the PIC time and end up not getting a call from K4 for interview. I have been dragging feet with this upgrade for 2 months now.
Shall I accept the opportunity or wait futhermore for K4? If I get the upgrade will that help me to get in here later on or will I become more competitive to join the big 5?
Any advise will be really appreciated.

Call HR in YIP - tell them of your dilemma and see what they say
they wont mind the call really - maybe you get an interview maybe not - but worth the dime

That's an incredibly tough choice.
Locking yourself in for three may mean a lot of missed opportunities in today's market.
I'm former K4, liked it there, but the legacy bennies are much better.

Darkzone,

You're in a tough dilemma. Are you flying WB over there or a 737/320 kind of thing? When things are rosey I'd say take K4 or wherever you're waiting for. The big unknown is where you will be during a slowdown. When one does happen, the big 3 or 5 will become more picky; 4 year degree, Turbine PIC, type rating etc.

For me it's done deal to go with K4 if I was offered the job. What makes it really tough is that I'm not even positive if I will receive an invite for interview or not.

I interviewed under the previous contract, I was the only one to show up. The other guy had a class date with Frontier, so he decided to not show.

I think you were given pretty solid advice by Lockheed. I don’t know why you are still discussing it. Whether they believe you and move up a potential interview date will depend on how you present it. Do you have documentation to your claim from a verifiable source? If so I am would think it might give you traction. I would guess your claim is truthful but will caution everyone. Do not lie about anything regarding jobs or while you are on the job. If they find out you are fired or in this case you application is defeated and you will be on a list.
