Two months after the election and no word on this from any source besides a random APC post. Is there a legitimate complaint about how the election was conducted, or is this a "gold fringe admiralty flag" sort of thing?

I have heard there was an issue with the MEC making phone calls to the membership, but they did not provide the Mossman team the same access to their phone list. I believe a new vote is being mandated by ALPA National.

Quote: This is not bad news, this is an opportunity, and there is a good reason there needs to be another vote. The current MEC did not follow protocol, and used underhanded tactics to swing the vote in his direction. We will see if he is man enough to share the reason for another vote, but I would be surprised were he to do so. There has been a lot of discussion about not changing leadership in the middle of negotiations. To be clear and upfront, we are not in the middle of negotiations, we are at the beginning. Do not make the same mistake for the third time, and allow the same individual that stabbed everyone in the back on your last contract, to do so again. Take this time to rectify the situation, as you have been given an opportunity to right this wrong.
It appears that there may not be another vote. Evidently the MEC has appealed to ALPA National, so the ball is once again in their court.

if your choices are between MM and JK you are screwed.

Good luck with that. When I was spooling up the recall, ALPA National was not only unhelpful but at times actively working against us. Luckily that ALPA National VP was voted out of his position last time around and now has to learn how to fly for his regional again after 16 years of stealing dues for a living. Who am I kidding, he's probably found some cush job at national because there's no way that dude hacks it on the line.

ALPA doesn't want the drama, so I really don't see a revote happening. The way the MEC is setup at K4 with no LEC makes it almost impossible to recall any reps so unfortunately you're probably stuck with the clown show for another term and contract.

I'm interested to hear what this next contract offers. I, along with the 47% voted no, then I showed my no vote with my feet when I left. Hopefully this next one is better for those at Kalitta and planning to stay. You can't be afraid to vote no, or simply leave for greener pastures.

Good to hear you found a greener pasture for yourself. How long were you at Kalitta?

Not an ALPA list as claimed, don't go holding your breath on another vote.

If only the dishonest pos that fraudulently retained his seat used the same unscrupulous tactics against management in negotiations K4 pilots might gain some ground. That lazy bastard couldn’t hack a normal line if his life depended on it. Better to sit on his ass with extra union income and meal expenses and extra gas money for his yak. Imma about to Yak on my shoes thinking about his next bs final and last best offer guys!! 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I was there 3.5 years, I was awarded 74 captain but left just before training started. I enjoyed the flying and most everything else besides the politics there. Maybe I've got rose colored glasses on remembering my time there. Best thing I did was leave after that last contact.
