Southwest, UPS, United, Aligiant, Spirit are just to name a few whom have ratified a contract amicably.

We are at an impass because mgmt is still left in the 80s. Based on the pay rates and guarantee right now I'd vote no if it came to a TA.

Spirit struck in 2010, they have amended their CBA since then and didn't need to strike.

Wake up and smell the roses. The money's in the rules not the rates, of which we have none.

What about multiple passports? I know some of the places Kalitta goes don't play well with others. Do you have to maintain a "Muslim" and "non-Muslim" compliant passport?
Most pilots I know in the industry have only one passport, unless they are dual citizens.

Israel will not stamp your passport when you go in and out for flying work.

That's the part I was wondering about. A second two year passport is available if you must travel while your passport is out for a visa, or if you need to travel to Israel and travel to other countries that won't accept you if you HAVE traveled to Israel. I saw Tel Aviv was someplace Kalitta went. Wasn't sure about any of the other places and having to send off a passport all the time to get visas if you were out on another trip.

Second passports are valid for 4 years now. It changed a couple months ago. Of course, that only applies to the passports issued after the date of the change.

Good to know. Sounds like a second passport won't be an issue. Hopefully none of my current Visas or stamps will be an issue either.

If you have an inconvenient stamp... I would recommend getting a second passport for when going to places where it would be inconvenient...

With all of the thread drift and the calls to strike we seem to have lost sight of the Elephant in the room. Our Negotiation Team has "unofficially" let it leak that they crafted a TA that they would like us to vote on. One, I emphasize ONE item was rejected by Dan Wells.(regardless of all of the bull**** he threw out at the meeting) A 20 hour duty day requirement. I personally do not want a 20 hour duty day. It prohibits like me from doing 2 things that are very important to me. One, taking needed supplies to our troops. Two, getting me over guarantee during my normal working footprint. Who knows? I may vote no to the TA. I would however like to have the right to. I have grown very weary, very quickly, of both paying dues/assessment, and being used as a pawn in the Atlas Air negotiations.

At least you'll get to vote!

Atlas/Polar had an arbitrated contract shoved down their throats and that worked out so well for management they're trying it again with Southern!

VOTE! Let the TA stand or fall on it's own merits.
