I regret starting this thread. I forgot how quickly an open ended question turns to politics on this site…

Your question is all about politics. If it wasn't for politics there would be no question about how badly the economy is going to collapse.

It's beta value is only about 3 and lots of tech stocks are higher than that.
So Bitcoin will go up 100x? From here?
Good golly, I should be dollar cost averaging into Bitcoin. This could be the bottom, right? Crypto winter's almost over, right?
I think I'll put every dollar I have into Bitcoin now. I'll even get a home equity loan to put moar into bitcoin. With diamond hands and laser eyes, I'll HODL with the best of them.
i think I'll open an account with Celsius; they'll give me $50 in crypto just for opening an account! /s

Bitcoin and all crypto = the latest Dutch tulip variant of Ponzi schemes.

Oh, I'm not praising this.

Just commenting on bailouts in general. Could you see American Airlines with it's backing in a major player state like Texas being allowed to disappear?

I don't.

It’s clear we are at war with Russia by proxy. The USA has already spent more money in Ukraine than the first five years of Afghanistan. There is no way we don’t have operatives on the ground there. The only thing this country hasn’t done yet is put our troops in country, and I mean yet.

Yep... we are in a new cold war with not just Russia this time but China too. Very unlikely that we will prevail with our robust service economy vs their robust manufacturing and raw goods export economies.

I’m always impressed how effective Russian propaganda is, even after the Cold War has fallen, even after their power has shriveled globally and the Ukrainians have proven the 2022 Russian Army is more of a sick old zoo bear than the scary bear we feared in the 1980s.

The sad part is how so many of these Putin apologists are the first to call themselves “patriots”…pathetic and
disgusting.
