Yes, but I take the longer term picture. And wise heads know it.

In two months Delta hires its share of retirements for the year… there really aren’t that many retirements. Even UAL and AA with their large retirements looming are hiring more than they need for retirements. So how would raising the age help?

It’s not incumbent upon ourselves to fix managements problem

Like I said, they're hoping to kick the can and have it land in the middle of the next recession. 1.5-2 years ought to do it.

Default You can all thank ALPA for this

ALPA by opposing age 67 has caused the flood gates to open for foreign pilots to take US jobs and likely your sons or daughters job. Positions on issues have consequences.

That job your son or daughter can't get can thank those opposed to age 67. That person might be YOU!

Where do you come up with all of the unsupported talking points? The RAA? FordHarrison?

That paywalled article mentions nothing about retirement age extension increasing foreign pilot recruitment.

You seem to be the kind of person who wants to open the door of a room, shout something controversial, then run away instead of defend your position. That's another thing that takes away any credibility you might have. Haven't you figured out yet that you're not going to change anyone's mind like this?

Still waiting for you to prove you're actually a pilot. Why not respond by talking me through a go around on your jet. Not the checklist steps or basic book procedure, talk me through it. Chair fly it for me.

The work visas are going thru the roof. Airlines are going to do whatever it takes to recruit pilots and ALPA is part of the problem not the solution. ALPA needs to reverse course on this issue asap to help save American jobs. It's hilarious you don't think I'm a pilot. Why would I be on this site if I wasn't. I don't need to lower myself to your stupid go around procedure ask. Trust me I know it well haha

How the hell do I know your a pilot? I assume you are since your here discussing the issues thats why. You need to get away from your superiority paranoid complex and focus on the issue of age 67. Ok your against it I get it. I'm for it for multiple reasons. ALPA does nothing to procure a retirement plan but pushes a random worthless age. 67 would add 2 more years of LTD protection. Also 2 more years of company insurance and Bfund contributions. 67 would allow the airline growth plan to go forward rather than be in shrink mode like we are today killing bids and great flying opportunities. It will also help stave off displacements and get folks off reserve faster. ALPA was vehemently opposed to madatory retirement age back when 60 was rammed thru in 1959. Now they do everything to uphold it WTF ? S3 work visas for pilots are skyrocketing. Don't blame me when your kid can't get a job or gets postponed by 5 years.

That's what I thought. Another dodge to a very simple question.

My posting history on this site speaks for itself. Yours does not. You created this account solely to argue the Age 67 issue, and have spammed every subforum with these hollow talking points, but you've refused any meaningful debate or questions to validate your credibility or provide context.

We've heard everything you have to say by now. I don't know if you're a regional airline manager getting your jollies by aggravating pilots, an FH lawyer, a bot, or just a troll, but you contribute nothing to the debate except mass media style talking points which myself and other have easily refuted multiple times, despite your constantly stomping your feet and repeating yourself.

I won't directly respond to you again, because you're proven it's a waste of time.
