TBD whether age 67 is in the final version, but where they left off it appears more likely than not.
But age 67 is not the sticking point of the bill, if anything it appears to have more to do with longer range flights in and out of DCA.

Not exactly. They will still get the re-authorization done eventually. If they pass an extension, they can kick the can for a few weeks or even months.

As of April 2020, the SCOTUS ruled that the US Government can be sued by individuals over 40 for age discrimination and lowered the bar significantly to prove said offense. If the mandatory retirement age of any direct federal employee or those employed under direct federally controlled industries is not revised to reflect current and future longevity progression, the US Government will be inundated with class action lawsuits. There are groups that are monitoring this and will file briefs if mandatory age limits are not addressed. You heard it here first.

if an airline fired one pilot due to being to old, that's age discrimination. If the entire class is capped at a certain age...brother, this was litigated decades ago.
Keep grasping at straws if you must. But this thing is dead. Thank goodness.

SMH. I'm sure there are plenty of plaintiffs' attorneys who would be happy to collect fees from you.

I bet you don’t even know how mandatory age limits in Airline operations came about. Spoiler…. It had nothing to do with health.
