I would think that anything that makes it out of the Senate (controlled by the president's party) will be signed by the president.

Also the irony of a debatably senile 80yr old president vetoing a FAA reauthorization bill because he thinks 67 is too old to operate an airplane would be too rich, even for our geriatric politicians.

The WH issued a statement opposing age 67 and supporting ALPA's position.

But it should be fairly obvious that he's not going to torpedo a major agency re-authorization bill which was negotiated by his own party over a very minor (to everybody but us) provision.

Especially since he appears to be running again, at an age far beyond 67. That's what folks in the swamp call bad optics... the attack ad script would write itself.

If he's actually planning on abdicating in favor of kamala, and resigning from the race sometime in the next 12 months, then who knows. You can make your own odds on that.

😅
Those who grew up breathing regular gas fumes have to retire at 65. Those who breathed unleaded can go to 67.

What about the hundreds of thousands ( if not millions) that are just here for all the free ****?

My friend is a staffer in my Congressman's local office. Said the Senate is punting, and Congress will just extend the current FAA authorization for at least six months. Nothing new being added. Age 67 is dead for the foreseeable future.
