Complete BS. Boomer pilots didn't hold congressional seats and vote to do anything to anyone else. They did their jobs and flew until mandatory retirement, if medically able, just like every pilot before them. If you want to place blame, place it with the politicians who write the laws.

No fault of your own...until you're 30 or so. The grow TF up. Nobody cares.

Plenty of "get out of my way, old man. I want what's yours!" here.

Not a single instance of "We're going to fix this, so future generations won't suffer the same fate, even though I'll personally never see it."

You'd be amazed how much support you'd get from GenX for that attitude.

great post, and accepting age 67 has absolutely nothing to do with it. We arent “fixing this for future generations” by stagnating the industry for 2 more years

"WE" aren't "fixing" anything. The pilots have never had a say in this and never will. These decisions are made by the House and Senate. Crying about it here does nothing.

even better, how many millennials and GenZ types criticized in that post are involved in such decision making? That silly rant couldn’t be less relevant to this issue

No one was criticized, just hard facts.

Hard facts like pilots will have nothing to do with it. Decisions on age limits are made by the Congress.

I'm Gen X. Probably got hit the worst. 9-11, 08 crash, and 65 rule. Not whining here, I just pivoted and made the best of it.

see? Isn’t that a grand bargain. Everyone’s happy now, right? If you want to continue to exercise your mental faculties, hop on over to DAL or FedEx or UAL or wherever you aren’t and keep right on flying. Isn’t that what it’s all about, meat in seats?

This is genius.

Ageism!!!!!
