Year one on reserve mostly 12 days off but sometimes the company reduces it to 11.
220 block hours for the year.
$50k of which 3k is company 401k
Only overnighted 4 times 2 of which was due to recurrent training

2022 hours flown: 230 (Good year but only due to deployment. Probably average 150/year)
$82K base pay
$27K housing allowance
$3K food allowance
$7K flight pay
$3.8K “company” match
Total Gross: ~123K
Nights away from home ~ 7 months
Posting this as a joke but damn... the grass is looking pretty green right now.

Exactly. Food and housing allowance combined with free life, health and dental added around 40% on top of my yearly compensation. Heck, the Military even has a type of 401K match now if you don't plan on staying in for 20. I didn't have that choice.

The tax advantages of mil comp definitely inflates take home compared to a civilian job. The inability to say no or have any real influence over where you go or when or for how long can really grind, especially once you have a family. I still think it’s a more interesting way to get into aviation than the straight civilian route, but you pay for it.
