This is great. But want to see more posts from <800 annual credit, no GS pilots. The ones who get their schedule, maybe swap or drop something, fly it and go home. For all these strivers online, I meet more people in person who say, "I just fly my schedule". Where's the competition to see who can make the least? Sure, you can work smarter, but that still requires effort.

With inflation and the lack of a COLA (or negotiated increased benefit), I know what you mean. When you are vested (5 years) you can go into the retirement website and see the current calculated benefit. Each year you earn more, the benefit goes up until you get to 5 years of making a cumulative of $260k or more per year.

Awesome. There all sorts of avenues at an airline to find the right balance of productivity/income that meets your personal/family budget or life desires. If you want less work there is min credit windows, IVD/APD/PD drops, or bidding desirable trips so you can clear your schedule on the swap board to some other sucker. To me, green slipping is just a more efficient way of producing income in my decade(s)+ trained skillset without dedicating time (“effort”) to another hustle or career. Added bonus if you actually like the job and can’t stand being in a house surrounded by crying toddlers and need sleep
