Probably won’t pass the senate but doesn’t mean it won’t be in final bill.

I would be concerned that they would create a bill packed with pork, for everyone to get a taste of things that have nothing to do with age 67, and it gets support because everyone gets their beak wet. Ol Lindsey has been pushing for 67 and is crafty enough to get support by stuffing it with pork. It's been done, will be done again, just hope not with this.

Not for this, but I’m curious how it would work for those pilots currently flying int’l WB. Suddenly they’d be prohibited from non-domestic flying? How would it work contractually to be forced to a lower paying jet, or would the company have to continue to pay them their current rate? Then you’d have 2 pay scales for the same seat?
I foresee a lot of senior pilots saving up that sick leave…..

Want to bid avoid Mexico City or Guatemala? Too bad, Captain happy can’t legally fly there so we’re going to rob your Phoenix overnight your seniority bought you and give it to a 66 year old.
Number 5 on the reserve list? Too bad, numbers 1-4 can’t take this minrest Mexico City overnight because they’re too old. Enjoy.
Massive, massive abrogation of seniority.
If this passes there needs to be contractual changes. No min monthly guarantee for the 65+ crowd. You only get paid for what you can fly, you can only bid domestic trips (no reserve), if you’re not senior enough to get them you don’t get them and forgo that pay. Pick a more junior airplane or base if needed. If you can’t hold anything without displacing senior pilots you get nothing.
