"Nehls (R-TX)supports the change because his brother, a Delta pilot, is also a member of the group Raise the Pilot Age, which says on its website, “We are in favor of an increase in the mandatory pilot retirement age and disagree with the positions that our unions have taken."
SWAPA's not on board with an age change, unlike last time.

It's kind of like driving, and if anyone here has old enough parents, you get the "fun" opportunity of telling ma/pa that (after your visit and noticing that three corners of their car has scrapes on it), it's probably time to leave the driving to someone else. No one wants to admit/nor can they likely see it, when they haven't retained the cognitive powers of the past.

You'd have to start it at 50 or so, cause I've come across some who at 55 couldn't hold a flame to some 65 yr olds cognitively, and probably never could.

I noticed the same. He’s barely touched an airplane at UAL his entire career and now he’s a veritable hero stepping forward to save the world from delays and cancellations. How about locking him up somewhere in the basement at Willis, it would be far safer.
