ImSoSuss did you apply to SWA or interview? Just curious, but the recent low-mins trend until now as discussed mainly revolved around resume washing, similar to the “get hired outside of the flow” at AA idea.

I just posted my projected totals. Probably a bit short of actual, but whatevs.
I like this thread but over the years it has become
less of a useful tool and more of an argument over days worked vs days on duty, soft pays, total compensation etc. I work in round numbers anyway, so the info that I find the most useful is airline/fleet/relative seniority vs $$$.
There are always outliers and they are interesting, but they don't represent the mean.

Topped out SWA captain with 4 weeks vacation
Jr in a Senior base.
Some Reserve but mostly Lines.
Block a little over 600
Averaged 11.5 days worked including unused reserve days.

485K salary
134K Bonus
54K NEC

Free health Insurance and finally uniform allowance and Free Parking!

Why did a lot of FO's leave? Many things. Boeing, Meltdown, Management Bafoonery, Contract Negotiations, and the dream of sitting reserve at a major and having to go back to training every three months to do your three takeoffs and landings. I think all those led to many career SWAPA pilots with a very bad attitude that made new people think that the culture was truely gone. I flew with many new guys with stories of Captains telling them they made a terrible decision coming th SWA. Management continually made bad decisions with furlough notices and a very contentious Negotiations cycle. Plus there are many who have gotten into this industry who have no idea of its history!

Definitely worked harder this year than years in the past although I have been "playing the game" since I was a senior F/O in BWI back in 2012. It's crazy but it is not about the money...its about the game....which I love. Ironically I'm sure I am not the highest paid at this airline. I know personally a lot of guys who are smarter and work harder than I do.
I had no idea this was even possible. Nicely done. I play the minimum work game an my carrier but am impressed with this maximum pay strategy. I would not survive but recognize great game play. Cheers to you.
