FACT: 2003 - age-60 pilots? 100% Part 135.
FACT: Your own study says ≈80% of all accidents (any age) were Part 135.
Which means the so-called “U-shape” at 60+ isn’t about age at all, it’s about the dataset being entirely Part 135.
Or you could just say, “Darn, it was 2003, there were no Part 121 pilots over 60, and 80% of the incidents were Part 135 at all ages.”

If safety was really the issue, the geezers should swap into a regional jet where the "unsafe" pilots are and open a slot at their airline for someone.
They get to mentor and the new hire gets "real airline" training.

It wasn’t a comment on the culture war leanings of either party, just that ALPA PAC has ALWAYS contributed more to democrats in significant quantities than republicans. SWAPA PAC has done the opposite and more significantly so. Take from that what you will.

Id support age 67 if they at least call a spade a spade. Just say "I want to use my seniority that I have achieved by people leaving before me at their retirement age so I can personally increase the amount of money I earn at the expense of those Jr to me. I only care about myself and try to use safety as an excuse to enrich myself as much as I can".
