Agreed—I did all these things. I brought back Calvados from Carentan! I used a fabulous and very affordable AirBnb in Bayeaux and hub and spoked to a new location daily. I also did some side roads and ended up at Brecourt Manor and the battlefield site of the four guns that the boys of Easy silenced.

If she is still there, Madame Gondre operates an old family restaurant at Pegasus Bridge and served us lunch. She and her family were the first liberated family in Normandy.

One benefit of visiting in October was that Point Du Hoc was desolation level empty. My father and I had the entire area to ourselves.

Every square inch of Normandy has something to see. I will go back again one day.

Ahh Marseille. I like it with one rock and a splash of water. Kinda traditional in that way

Love that area. The history there. The food is off the chart, the people are charming and very, very nice. One of my favorite places to visit in France. Get me out of Paris, you can have it. I'll take Normandy and Provence any day.

And a Carentan Calvados (alliteration not mine here), that's a pretty sweet score.

Don’t you know 🌹 and 💵 is foaming at the mouth about the 23m7 or whatever the shenanigans as he was always very senior in category. He’d have WS in at every base.

Most of them don’t even want to know the EXPERIENCE of the pilots….just the AGE. When there’s an accident/incident, the younger the pilots are the better in their eyes because they think it pushes their agenda. There are some in that group that are downright disgusting and clownish.

Heartily agree. Just did Tuscany a couple of months ago and Provence last year. We head to Alsace tomorrow.

Any recent news on the confirmation of LEPFEPAS shill Jeff Anderson to the ICAO ambassadorship?

I was told by them that if I made enough phone calls to an Idaho senator, even though I don't live in Idaho, the fix was in and Anderson was a shoo-in, despite his reported tax troubles.

I haven't heard much lately. Were my dozens of calls for naught?

My understanding is that he missed the window and will have to be re-nominated in Jan. Clearly he wasn’t a top priority.
I guess we will see if he gets the nomination again or if they go in another direction. Like maybe someone who hasn’t had tax issues or someone whose top priority isn’t raising the age.

Bummer. I called a bunch of times using fake names and fake voices. That Mark guy from epas told me the staffers were receptive and that my voice(s) would be heard. Even though I’m not a constituent.

I guess he was lying, again. But that’s ok. I’ll still keep the faith and send more money.
