It isn't that I haven't read your posts or heard what you have said, the message was clear, it's that I don't believe you. Clipperjet a few posts back actually cut out most of the clutter surrounding the issue for me when he posted "They did because they could..". That has been said a bunch here and captures the essence of my arguement. Moral and ethical issues are rarely measured on a sliding scale, and this event is no different. BTW, I noticed that Mike Pliske is on the list of LEC wannabes for SLT. Will you vote for him as a fighter for all AA pilots and then justify his past actions and retoric against the TWA side as well? Hill may not be all about changing CC but that part of his platform speaks to the theme of his views, IMHO. As I have said before, walk the walk and I'll be more inclined to believe what I read here.

PS Was there a question about a contract in here somewhere? Sorry UA.

 

FF, it's hard not to go away mad when numerous attempts at bridging the gaps result in getting beaten down. But in this case, I will honor your request and sign off amicably because that's the kind of person I am - not one to stay mad at stuff out of my control.

I think you need to realize that it has been my intention all along to work with our ex TWA pilots on the property and keep them unified. Whether they want to or not is also out of my control - they are now AA pilots workng under an APA contract that will hopefully get better, and it is up to them if they want to contribute to their utimate well being at the company.

The fact that I voted for Hill should have no bearing on my desire to help and fight for our pilots, regardless of background. The fact remains that he cannot dismantle CC without a massive lawsuit, something most of your buddies refuse to understand.

I hope you can see my point. I can see yours.

I'm not educated enough about Hill, you see I was furloughed so long ago I sort of disconnected from all that, but what I've heard isn't good. Sounds like he could do some damage.

And telling us how great it is flying in SLT with our old Captains won't endear you to us, either; that was where WE were when we got the axe. Food for thought.
