Default New AA Contract

Has anyone else seen the size of the pay numbers in there? What are the chances they really get that? Those numbers are quite large

Anyone know anything?

I haven't heard anything other than our lame-a$$ 30.5% pay proposal that came out a few months ago. But to answer your question, the membership will probably settle for an even lamer 15% raise after giving away the farm, based on how many pu$$ies we have working here.

BTW, I'm walking on anything less than a 35% raise.

A lot of your guys have already walked over here...the past two right seaters I've flown with were AA.

PS they say there isn't a snowball's chance of getting that 30.5%

I'd say we'd ALL be lucky to get 15% overall with additional profit sharing. If the industry really rebounds, maybe more.

Yeah I'd go there too but I ain't got any Turbine PIC or even an ATP for that matter, and don't know a soul (other than FliFast - hey buddy ol' pal!)

I don't see it happening, either, that 30% raise, but I know it's gonna get ugly here before we give away the farm.

The hedge funds and private equity groups are the future ... and the beginning of the end. It's going to get ugly quickly if your statement is true. I noticed there was spike in AMR's stock about a week ago on speculation of a buyout. What else have you heard?

Naah, but makes for a good rumor. But just imagine what our Uncle could do to any airline. Suddenly a career, becomes a death march to the unemployment line when a corporate raider or incompetent managment team arrives on property.

No your not..... I respect your resolve, but we have been trying to get released to walk at ASA for over 5 years. The mediation board just keeps scheduling more negotiated sessions.

Good luck,

Stick

Wow, 5 years? If the mediation board keeps scheduling more negotiations, what are the consequences of you guys striking anyhow? I mean, if everybody walks, what happens? Do you lose your job, go to jail, what?

Doesn't seem to be much point of having the option to strike if you aren't able to use it.
