It’s “fare” not “fair.”
Seriously, like everyone here, I hope for the best. History, however, has shown that only a few people benefit from such drastic upheavals, and labor is not one of them. It’s very frustrating to feel helpless and seemingly have no control over one’s career and livelihood. At the end of the day, it's still money that makes the world go round.

I dont think a merger at this level of Air Carriers of this magnitude has ever taken place..... uncharted ground I say.......
The closest thing scale wise would be when American gobbled up TWA.... and that turned out pretty nasty. the economics are not the same but geez... could you imagine merging those HUGE .... senority lists. I suspect all types of fences and such would have to be put in place for several years to protect the rights of each pilot group... but who knows.

In a statement sent to MarketWatch, Anderson said: "There have been no talks with United regarding any type of consolidation transaction and there are no such ongoing discussions." Earlier, the Associated Press said the No. 2 and No. 3 U.S. carriers were in possible merger talks; the wire service cited an unnamed source. Shares in Delta were last up 9.5% at $20.54. Could be someone playing with the stock price to make a quick buck. Not unheard of in the trading world. Watch for the hedge fund guy to dump a bunch of shares of each now for some end of year profits.
