I agree unless you flare to high or float. Then of course you may drift. Which may cause side load and off centerline landings. I already mentioned the timing thing for this method in a previous post.

The old gens do caster... The new gens do not.... They can all land in a crab...

Oh, I get it, but the point is to de-crab to touch down tracking the centerline before the drift kicks in. If you're floating enough in the flare to accumulate significant sideways velocity from the crosswind, you're probably leaving enough runway in your wake to justify a go around anyway.
