They've had husbands...most of them pilots...that's why they're divorced and still flying into their 70's. Yikes.

I'm not half joking, my neighbor's Fluffy has eaten all the rabbits who lived in my back yard, the Chipmunks and one kid's Guinea Pig named "Chi Chi." Now even the crows keep a wary eye on Fluffy. My wife will not let me shoot the Fluffy and my old truck just isn't fast enough for an "unfortunate accident."

I was on an overnight in EINN when a flight attendant asked me if she could have my leftover food so she could feed the stray cats of Ireland. I responded by telling a story about when I shot my neighbors cat with a BB gun when I was a kid. That poor cat, they call it Lefty now because it can only turn left when it can stand.
Then the same chick tells me about her pet rat that she takes to all of the local hospitals to cheer the kids up. She said that rats are misunderstood and that they are wonderful pets.

Do not carry bags for the Grannies. Let them carry all 15 bags down the stairs.

So, to put this thread back on topic...
I was in the Pilot Lounge in ATL this morning and Richard Anderson (DAL CEO) happened to be there talking to the Chief Pilot and any other pilot that cared to gather around to hear him speak. So I joined the peanut gallery and listened to some Q&A. A pilot who owned a crash pad asked if we would be hiring anytime soon. Richard Anderson said "No." I implied from his tone and the way that he answered that it won't be anytime soon either.
Sorry, I wich I had better news to share.

I find that interesting, certainly not what I'm hearing from my buds that work at the airline and have spoken with said CP. I'm not on the property, so I'm an outsider looking in, but it would seem to me that with the winter months coming and the busy summer season/merger going through, they'd need to something either way.
