Are CAL pilots better off today without the enhancements of No Furlough, no reduction in BES, no reduction of flying, no reduction of aircraft certificated at 125 seats or greater?

It must be frustrating you can't deliver. Oh well not everyone can get into management. Just quit, you'll be better off and happier. And stop sending me PMs scabby.

Is slam55 a Scab? If so, I'll put him on my ignore list. I don't read Scab posts.

This from scabby. Is this the kind of person you want negotiating for you? We really can do better. Our pilot group must become more proactive and engage our LEC and MEC officers more directly to weed this "element" out of the process.

C'mon, be my mound of clay. Let me mentor you. Everyone thinks you're beyond hope, but not me. I think you're just a little lump of coal waiting to be polished into a bright shiny diamond.

First of all, calm down before you explode and do something really stupid and end up with another Fitness For Duty Evaluation.

I'm here for you brother. Just reach out to me for the help we all know you're screaming for.

what did we learn from this though? first class seating and IRO both ways is attainable for us (and should be, look at DAL, they have it, as does AA). the company seems to think they can make it work in up to $170 a barrel jet A. good, pay me. a 2% raise is an insult. come talk to me when it is a 2 digit raise number and the first number is larger than 2. finally, there needs to be some sort of penalty to the company for violating the cba.
why would you want to get rid of the deadheading IRO position that pays higher than the FO position? 757 vs. 767

Well the pay needs to be higher but overall if they want to deadhead us it should be worth the credit for it all the time too. As it is it is basically free for the company in that deadhead time does not count to your monthly hours. Believe me there are is a laundry list of things that need to be rectified on C'08. And as far as pay goes, the hourly rate is nice but if you have some actual work rules you can do a lot better in terms of money without having to work more. See DAL and green slips.

Default IRO Both ways

What happens e.g. B764 CO 001 IAH - HNL scheduled for 8:10 is a daytime flight that gets an IRO then the return redeye CO 0072 is scheduled for 7:59 and no IRO. I would prefer an IRO on the redeye, but hey Both ways would be even better. My ALPA pin has a 25 on it and will become 30 years on 10/08 It is getting a little old listening to the all the name calling. If you have never walked a picket line you haven't earned the right....

Are you saying only the people who were actually on the picket line during a strike when someone crossed can call that someone a scab?

Anyone and everyone should be calling a scab "a scab." My ALPA pin only has a 10 on it. Does my opinion not count yet?

I say any union member in good standing that has not crossed a picket line has earned the right...

Default Name calling

This is a discussion forum. When some members disagree they resort to name calling in place of discussion. Try selling them on the merits of Union membership. Which was first purpose of a strike line ( and preventing the "scabs" from getting to work ). You as a citizen can call anyone whatever you please, however if you are wrong about that name calling it's called libel. Let's get back to the CAL scope discussion.
