ALPA wont do anything but give you a membership to AIRINC, thats all they did for the Champion Pilots and everyone else. You are no longer paying dues so they forget about you. Maybe you will get a mention on the mag, but thats about it..

First off, I apologize for the insensitivity of my post. As you can see, I still have no love lost for that time period. It is a shame with what is going on there. However, there was no support or "let's all do something..." when the junior guys got the shaft. 'Thems the breaks. I know. I just find it ironic that the shoe is now on the other foot.
And as to your second question, nope, no upgrade for me. Was never expecting one. And I have no control over who DHL decides to contract with. I have no control who UPS decides to interview. I'm just a line slug. If you're trying to make me feel guilty or ashamed at previous UPS practices, won't work. They do what they want to do.
Good luck to you.

Didnt the DAL pilots turn down the code-share agreement for Midwest???
I have heard very little from ALPA, Prater in particular....I know this is a dog eat dog business, but this is more like child-abuse.
Personally, I'd like all my dues money back and a class-action suit for lack of representation implemented.
The DAL MEC could have put YX guys on the list, dont kid yourself. They simply chose not to, and that is wrong.

Easy big fella.....I have always stated that the Skywest replacement of Skyway flying was BS. Unfortunately I'm not the MEC and my opinion means little to T.H. and the powers that be....
And dont get the senior 20% confused with the rest of us.I was jr Capt on reserve for the last 3 years...dont talk to me about being home every night. The top 20% have had the shedules you're talking about, but not the rest of us.
No doubt its been a tough year, actually TH did you guys a favor, by replacing you when there were still some jobs to be had.Now there's nothing.
Good luck to you

Alpa Is No Different Than These Devilish Ceo's Who Take Millions While Their Company Fails.
Don't Count On Alpa To Do Anything But Take Your Hard Earned Money.

There is no "U" in ALPA
Wake up everyone. ALPA is not a Union. ALPA is an Association. Hence...AirLine Pilots Association.
The union comes from within. ALPA is just the sign you put on the MEC door.
ALPA dues are not designed to get you a new job if you are furloughed or even protect the one you have. Dues support all the ancillary benefits like legal, medical, insurance and communications to name a few.
Oh yeah, ALPA dues do not come with a year supply of Solidarity.
STAND TOGETHER and STAND STRONG, that is your union!
