You guys are beating a dead horse. All the arguments about who saved who, or how much cash each airline had, or who was flying the BAC-111 when the other guy was in grade school, is meaningless!
The arbitrator took all of those things into account, and decided the issue. Both sides agreed to accept the arbitrator's decision. I'll be very surprised if that changes as a result of the current court case.

Hey.....flynwmn forgets that he has a job because of AWAC...piedmont has sucessfully decreased its fleet size continuously for the last 10 years....without the help of us.
This East/West side stuff has to go.....you guys should be embarassed by how seamless the Super Delta merger is going. Its not a matter of "Who Saved Who". Its how 2 airlines can work together to create a safe and fun working enviroment, while providing a service to the people thats second to none and generating the revenue to match.

Interesting you call US Airways pilots low life's. For years America West pilots were the ball and chain at the feet of airline pilots for wage increases. America West pilots happily worked for less wages by far compared to other pilots. Click below for an interesting wage chart.
I am wondering why America West pilots worked for so long with those sub standard wages. Would you share with everyone your strategy?

Not very constructive, my friend. The attitudes on both sides will destroy your airline. Both sides need each other, but neither of you seem to be able to play nice.
I predict that when it's over there are going to be a lot of flights where only one pilot shows up when they see who the other pilot used to work for, resulting in a lot of cancellations. Don't worry, all won't be lost. American will be there to pick up the peices and both of you, together at last, can be the "low lifes" to the American pilots.
For what it's worth, I don't know what I would have done if my side or their side didn't accept the arbitration. But, I know for sure, if I were in your position I would be too worried about the future of the company to be on here fanning the flames on an issue that a court is going to resolve. Remember, at some point you will have to work with those "low lifes" and you actually need them to show up to work for you to be successful.
Like I said, good luck with that.
Oh wait, I'm happy. My new DAL brothers are cool with me and I can't wait to fly with them.

You don't know what you would do?... but your have no problem telling us what we're doing is wrong? We negotiated in good faith before the arb during the arb and even after the arb (wow). We did all we could do, and now its in the courts. Do you have any suggestion besides "can't we all get along" mantra, I'd love to hear it.

The point of that statement was to point out what I wouldn't do.
If you want to hear it again here it is:
1. Quit needling the other side.
2. Stop name calling.
3. Stop painting every East pilot with the same stroke.
4. Quit complaining. (Since you case is so strong, you are certain to win)
5. So, be a gracious winner,
6. And wait for the court decision.
7. Start making preperations for the losers, or low lifes as you call them, to come into the fold.
It doesn't have to be the "can't we get along" mantra, but it shouldn't be so confrontational. Or, is that how you are going to be when the first East "low life" climbs into the cockpit with you?

I'm not sure you understand whats going on so here's what it's "about"
Here's my seven points:
1. USAPA is suing west pilots (18) for big dollars each for doing thing such as posting on a web board and calling there phone number a bunch of times. It was thrown out with prejudiced and they appealed!
2. USAPA is trying to get several hundred pilots fired for not paying dues even thou they were not even accepted for membership at the time.
3. Submitted to the company a new seniority list with the east pilots at the top of coarse.
4. Will not extend furlough insurance benefits to west furloughed.
5. Willfully delaying contract negotiations so as not to implement the nic arb.
6. Had to be forced in the presence of a federal judge to file a fair grievance for out of seniority furloughs (west of course)
7. Won't allow a west pilot to run for office, so it must be threatened by the Dept of Labor to rerun election and have west pilot on ballot.
I could go on and on...
These people in charge of this union are low life's...period.
It's not my fight, so if you want, tell me what it's about.

I don't disagree with you, but remember all East pilots are not in charge of the union and you will have to fly with them at some point. I wish you both luck.

So much for the "Brotherhood".
Name calling on either side isn't going to help. But really, how do you ever build trust for another group that will not abide by a decision made under the rules that group had agreed to?
