DAL/NWA early out?

Not at all.
Fact is that everything that is posted is avail for public consumption, you just have to know where to look.
Insight is always good.

I will say this. Good things are coming, we just need to get through the remainder of this year.

It is also widely known that if and when we start to recover the Federal Government will need to pull a lot of this cash out of the market. If they do not we will have severe inflation.
I do not subscribe to the chicken little philosophy. We as a society have gotten used to credit and the ability to purchase now not later. Banks have gotten used to getting the interest they change. In effect it is like Democracy. Once a people get a taste of it, it is very hard to kill it. We as a nation will recover because we really do not know how to live any other way.
Look around you, people are getting antsy to spend money. That is a good thing.
As it pertains to DAL, we are positioning ourselves to take full advantage of this and add capacity back in to the market as soon as it is responsible to do so. (That is part of the reason that furloughs do not make any sense.)
Our numbers are looking up. Add to that all of the future forecasts agree, so lets hope it happens.

For all you DAL-N guys: the Pacific and Asia might be fun, but Hawaii, man that is the hardest work I've ever done. You don't even want to try it.

I've talked to a few Northern bros, some relatively senior (20+, a330/74 FO), some junior (10+, a320/75 FO). From what i understand, the senior guys will most likely stay put if they're on the heavies, since all they do is a cushy 12 day trip/mo, and they usually deviate on both ends, which makes switching to SLC/LAX unnecessary (unless they change their trips drastically before the 1st big bid post SOC).
The junior guys will more than likely swarm our honey comb, as expected. The MSP guys may be more inclined to stay if they're used to ice-fishing year round j/k, but the DTW guys will more than likely pick something closer to home (i'd do the same if i'm given the opportunity). Interesting side note is that most are telling me the number of west coasters are not as high as everybody thinks. (some even tell me it's less than 100) I haven't been able to get any scientific proof to that.
Either way, I think the deal breaker is how they plan to use SEA as an int'l hub. It'll serve to dampen the blow on us Southies trying to stay out west. The other factor is how they're dealing with the ANC 742 closure/PERP.
I have many friends from the North side, and i welcome you all with open arms. I know the merger's done, time to move on, no hard feelings. If you want to take my seat, and you're senior to me, you deserve it.
Your south bro who's studying recurrent, and then start initial the week later. Fun times!

The fun of displacements. I missed that recurrent/initial action by only two weeks. Its costs like that why the co is trying to buyout folks and avoid another big downward displacement bid.

You make a good point. Compounding this problem is all the money being spent in Iraq and Afghanistan war with no reimbursement of any kind from Iraq. It is also reprehensible that Bankers gave themselves millions of Dollars in bonus using taxpayer bailout money. Our Government should go after these greedy individuals and make them pay back all the money they "stole" from the US taxpayers.
