Just make sure you take a big swig of Diet Coke when you do... could be very interesting for those in front of ya.

[quote=FmrFreightDog;608710]From the latest Council 20 (DTW) update, regarding the PERP...

Sounds like something out of freakin' "Catch 22".

Catch-22 written by Joseph Heller, in my humble opinion one of the best books ever written. If you want to seriously laugh your a$$ off read this book. I still have a faded copy from my college days - purchsed new for $3.95.

"Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them. With Major Major it had been all three."

This book should be required reading for all military Officers.

Thank goodness I was conceived to the Stone's "Satisfaction". I don't know how the women were turned on by those flavor savors.

While the PERP is a genuine, mutually beneficial, offer, I expect management will remind us "we tried to mitigate furloughs" when the notices go out.

The non public investment newsletters have been saying "get out - this is not nearly over, not by a long shot... . The financial houses are distorting the truth and their reports are misleading the market recovery... ."

With concerns that our recovery may be very short lived before a much stronger down turn, I went partially to cash, again, this morning.

There is no replacement for better scope and having Delta pilots perform Delta flying. I hope we revisit this Compass situation.

Yep. The no furlough clause should have said for every 10 Delta pilots you need to furlough, 1 E-175 will be brought onto the mainline certificate and flown by those 10 Delta pilots. If they need to furlough 500 of us, no need to take any seats out of those babies, just bring 50 of them over to mainline.

I hope we revisit the E170/175 situation. Revisiting the Compass situation would be a disaster. We don't want to bring any flying to the mainline we do not own. To do so is a invitation to disaster as soon as the next contract negotiations. The flying must be scoped to the mainline first. Then its up to management to decide how to shift that flying. They can merge Compass or other airlines at that point. The key is we MUST OWN THE FLYING!
