Will the furlough recalls be taking only vacancys or displacing guys as well? I'm wondering if we were awarded a position on the last AE (the one that is just starting to be implemented now) if we wern't supposed to train until DEC if a furlough recall taking the same position before DEC will take that opening.

They can't displace you without a displacement/surplus notice. That way they would know where to put you.

Come the next AE there could be a few displacements due to the SLC 767 category transitioning to ER ( waterfall effect), but with the rumbling of good sized AE's on the horizon I would think most would be safe unless they were on the very bottom of a senior category.

I'm slightly confused about the class drop. Are those 18 M88B MSP guys new hires (aka sen# 12000+) or recalls?

I'd say a few may be recalls, but I'm guessing most will be jr to you.

Not all the vacancies offered in the class will be filled by that class.

I think the Aug 16th class was given their info in advance. They were given 40 something vacancies for 30 something people.

I know...I was confused too. Here are a collection of the posts by the original poster. They seem to all refer to the class coming up and not the one that started yesterday. Sounds like the drop will be for new hires.

It depends on the status of the recalled pilot. If he is coming off military leave he can take any seat he could have held on any AE while he was out on Mil Leave. This can result in pilots getting bumped. If on a straight bypass he has to go where there is a opening.
