There are already provisions that give unequal protection to the mainline pilots in the event of a flowback. They automatically take all captain positions and the seniority number of the pilots who previously flowed up. Right now they would replace mesaba pilots #63-134 seniority, from day one of ground school. That's an equivalent of instant 14-18 years of seniority, wouldn't you love instant 18 years at Delta?? Those who elect not to flow will lose QOL because of the flow back. Delta mainline pilots lose nothing by allowing pilots to flow up. You speak of quality control being lost with a flow up. News flash we've already been flying the NWA/Delta "product" since 1986 (for Republic Airlines since 1983). Mesaba Airlines has a 66 year perfect safety record!!! The average passenger knows no difference between my little 900 and your maddog. They both have Delta painted on the side. I realize you have sacrificed a lot to get where you are. To see a person not "sacrifice" and attain a mainline number is what really urks most flow-thru opponents on the mainline side. Quality control is pure lip service. If you truly worried about the safety and "integrity" of Delta you would bring all flying back under ONE seniority list. Until then (which I won't hold my breath for) I will proudly give my best customer service/safety for Mesaba Airlines dba Delta Connection.

As usual individuals read way to much into these posts: Re-read what the response was, I just said, if there is a flow down, than there should be a flow up...not every one thinks their should be a flow up...I'm not one of them, I think its a committment that should be honored...not just one way.

"Would you allow a flow down if there was not an equal flow up?"

Here is your post that I responded to. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didn't "said" ie make a statement. You asked me a question. You even ended it with a question mark. Thank you for wishing to honor a commitment. Hundreds of pilots here had changed their career plans because of the inception of the LOA.

Cant remember. I was in a FOOD COMA all day. DAL fed us Breakfast and Lunch.

I can tell you one of us got the DC9MEM.

The rest: Md88/90 (Atl, Msp, NYC) and Airbus (Msp).

I think there were only 27 people in our class.

Things look good too (growth, hiring). Look out for a couple of BIG AEs coming out. The hiring department said they hired 305 (230 flow/offstreat, 75 recall). If things keep at this pace the hiring will continue next year.

Very nice first day. I am glad to be back and thank you.

Ahhh, the charm of ship life in the Navy...prepares a man well for prison.
