The SLC320B weren't offered to the Aug 2nd class. There is a possibility that some ER slots will be available to the the sept, oct classes as told to us today. But an AE is due out the 1st week of Sept that you can bid on if on property prior to that date. They are converting the SLC 767 to an ER base and all of the 767 SLC'rs will rebid their positions. This means lots of movement. Good luck to all!

Thank you guys.
Still in a food COMA (PIZZA for lunch)! Skipping dinner tonight.
Doubletree is nice: Welcome back dinner on Monday (Beer and Mexi)
Club/Crew room (soda, chips, popcorn, snacks)<--Nice setup.
DAL class: Nice info., positive attitude and optimistic attitude toward future. Very professional, and very respectable. AE is going to be nice, I think from what I heard these past two days, many aircraft choices could be available to newhires in the future.
Goodluck,
TYG

Where in our contract does it state that someone on a 2 year seat lock cannot get first bid into a category that a new hire could get, if desired? Does it not seem logical that someone should be able to get a better position than a new hire?

If an AE came out tomorrow and I was junior to you, I'd still be able to bid the better position if you were seat locked.
I know some who bid MSP -88/90 ( coming from ATL 737 /767) when it opened on the first bid. The following bid came out and now they have guys 1,000 numbers junior to them bidding MSP ER, a position they want.
Yeah it kinda blows but I guess training ain't cheap.

Take newhires out of the equation.

A seat locks a seat lock.
I have yet to leave the position I was hired into. Holding out for a position I can see myself in for at least 5 years and even then won't bid it till I know I have the seniority to not get slapped around if sh*t hits the fan
