Attending and talking to Delta repersenitives would be a huge investment for you. Making contacts is very important. Also it will give you a chance to make some great friends in the industry. I know several pilots that got their foot in the door at a airline at a job fair. You have nothing to lose. Go for it!

Breakfast at hotel. All u can eat $5 <---really nice selection (eggs, bacon, plump sausage, potatoes, hash, grits, cereal, fruit and other stuff). Free coffee in mornings.

Monday breakfast was served at DAL in the classroom. Starbucks and great food selection available on campus.

Monday night Beer and Dinner sponsored by hotel 1730.

Have fun.

I don't know about "significant" but I got my interview at DL as a result of a job fair. I had no internal connections there.

It allows them to put a face to a name. So I say they are definitely worth going to.

With that in mind, treat the experience like an interview. Dress the part, have resumes on hand (because you want something with your name on it for them to take back). Remember, you are being judged at all times.

The September category list was revised on Aug 2. The NBC/FUR category (furlough bypass) has been revised from 330 people down to 266 - presumably accounting for those in the first 2 furlough bypass classes, and perhaps anyone attending with the new hires on the 16th. If my math is right, that means that, so far, 64 accepted recall. Don't know if there's a place to find out what assignments they took, though.

I heard the total number of new hires + FBP's went up to 500 for the rest of 2010. Can anyone confirm that?
Thx
