'08 hire here. When I went thru, it took about 4 weeks for me. Also, the cleared to train was a letter. Class date came in a call.

Wow congrats to all of you guys who are getting on at Delta!! I can only dream of the day I get hired. I already live here in ATL (and 7 mins from the airport too), and commuting to reserve at my second regional after being furloughed from my first after 3 years. One of these days it will happen - and I'll be more than happy to take ATL M88 or DC9 RSV. In fact, call me crazy, but I kind of want to fly the DC9 before it goes away. My perfect career would be to move from the DC9/MD88 to the 757 before it leaves property, and then on the the 7ER international.

But to all of you at Delta currently - thanks for taking me to work and bringing me home every week, and for giving me something to look forward too. You're my hometown airline, and I'm a proud silver medallion. I still buy tickets, and in fact maybe I'll see some of you in two weeks on my LHR journey. I'll be in 8C. I'll probably be passed out in that new comfy flat bed though, so I might not be up for a conversation!

The OK to train letter comes first (in your email, check your spam) and then it says on the letter that they will call you soon with a class date. I got mine between 3 and 1/2 to 4 weeks from day 2 of the interview
