Just talked w/ a senior Capt friend of mine, that helps w/ hiring (was actually at my interview also) and he said he hasn't heard anything about 70 yet. He suspects good stuff this year.

Just gonna stay positive and hope for a call!

Need the positive stuff. I just got reprimanded by the wife for getting ****ed off from reading the forums. This stuff is dangerous.

Also, dont freak out guys. We are having a system bid that is closing tomorrow, which will mean lots of training events for transfers/upgrades etc. I am sure the training dept is waiting to see how things fall with this bid, before planning the class sizes for Feb/Mar and beyond. I wouldnt sweat it, just stay calm!

For all those waiting, hang in there. I have no iron in the fire for JB. Just throwing some words of encouragement in. It'll happen when it's meant to. Stay calm and enjoy the holidays.

Thanks for for keeping things grounded. I was waiting to sound the alarm if you or Expect saw those classes go away. Let's hope the phones ring this week for the Jan 4 class!!!

I'm saying the system bid is so small because something like a base opening/closing with a supplemental bid is in the works.. just my .02..

one would hope..the upgrades and transfers were pretty small on this bid. For all our hiring, they gotta have some plan where to stuff folks. Maybe that SJU rumor coming to light?

FWIW: I got hired in 08 right before the door slammed shut for two years. There was virtually no movment here for 3yrs. While we have our "issues" here at jetblue, it's a good place to work. Even at the bottom it's not all bad. Even if there is a slow in the hiring, the long term outlook of hiring is still good. If it's not about the money go with what ever is gonna make you the best QOL.
