Delta asks pilots to "hawk" Credit cards
#22
I just wish I were a decent salesman. I'd go crazy trying to set a new record for applications and just wait for the company to ask me to stop. Like most of their stupid ideas, if we actually did what they asked us, they'd quickly realize what a bad choice it was.

I was not surprised when Delta hired sales people and put them in the airports to try to sell the credit cards. Naturally, passengers ignored the sales people and went on their way. So I wasn't that surprised when the "sales people" had to became loud, obnoxious, and more agressive with passengers trying to sell the cards. In the last few months, the obnoxious agressive sales people are starting to borderline harrassment, and it makes Delta look desperate, and very unprofessional. But again, it is just some person in the airport trying to make a paycheck, so while it is embarrassing, I was not surprised.
But I am shocked that Delta is trying to get their pilots to sell their cards. Totally did not see that one coming. Did the letter require pilots to wear their hats and double breasted jackets so you don't look so unprofessional while selling the cards? What a slap in the face.
