Wow.

It's bad enough when a flight attendant comes on the P.A. at 6:30AM and goes on and on about skymiles and miles and rewards points and other nonsense. You can literally look around you and see the disgusted looks on people's faces as their entertainment or naps are yet again, put on hold for stupid announcements.

Delta needs to realize this crap alienates customers. Nobody likes hearing about it on the PA, and nobody likes getting them pushed in your face in the terminal. It is supremely annoying. Its like getting pestered by telemarketing and you feel trapped.

The credit card sucks. Sure it comes with some free perks but those wear off fast. Later on down the road when it becomes a headache with having another card, another bill, fees, etc, the customer is going to look at that Delta logo on it every single time they think of the card.

And people wonder why no one pays attention during the flight attendants briefing

Mine went straight to the trashcan as well...

It's in good company though; there's an (unread) ALPA magazine there as well !

I agree.

Btw, if you're interested in an American express skymiles card just let me know. There are a lot of benefits for having this card, just ask me and I'll tell you more.

I'm just as sick of being accosted in the airport or hearing all this on the PA as the next guy but..............after waiting for flights near a few of those airport hawkers and sitting in the back of the plane after the announcement, you'd be surprised how many people actually sign up with the airport hawker or take a brochure from the flight attendant.

That being said, I am neither of those..........

It offends me that it is expected of me to use the trust of the traveling public for my position to add to their debt...

Sounds like Dick Anderson's chalet in Aspen is in need of a summer time remodel??

Hope this does not give Smisek or Arpey any ideas.

Good luck!
