What cracks me up is wondering who the brianiac was that thought pilots would do this? And when? While we're looking over the flight plan at the gate? Between the walk-around and the preflight check? Or, shortly after we've landed and are saying goodbye to the pax? That would go over well. Completely ludicrous concept. Wonder how much the company shelled out for those packages and the postage?

Maybe the same brainiac who thought pilots would take a 42% pay cut in an emergency and not expect it back after the emergency was over?

Continental Express did something a few years ago where they had a speech they wanted us to make enroute on the pa. It printed out on our paperwork and it was this really long dissertation where they wanted us to say "Are you a member of One Pass? If not, why not? One Pass...."

I would not say that's a brainiac move. I once heard that the person who decided to copy Continental's velvet rope and rug was fired. They ordered all of that stuff and it costs millions and was implemented poorly. Don't know if that's true.

Maybe sometime in the future instead of furloughing based on seniority they can furlough based lack of performance in signing up credit applicants.

I too think it is ridiculous to ask me to hawk a credit card. Seriously? I could not throw it away fast enough...

I heard that the first pilot that gets a 100 passengers to sign up gets either a luggage set or a toaster oven
