Nothing over 76-seats will ever be flown under the Delta brand unless it is done by Delta pilots. I think all Delta owned/leased 76-seaters should be moved to Comair then we can go to work on getting a wholly owned entitiy merged with us bringing all 76-seat jets to mainline.
Nothing? Nothing??? How about we get a 50% payraise if we allow all the 76 seaters to be flown as 80 seaters? And if the number allowed is reduced to 225 from 255? Would you turn that down? really????

5500 NWA guys and 2000 junior guys outnumber the Delta guys of 1992 that you referred to. There won't be any more growth in the DCI fleet at Delta. I hope you have fun LYAO.
Let's hope so, talk is cheap (and there is a lot of that going on around here), I'll believe it when it happens. Reading the L&G Delta thread you have pilots more concerned about Non-Rev priority than scope. Even if you have the numbers and fortitude to tighten scope, management, with the help of courts and government, will come out with some new way to ensure that there is no growth at mainline. I use to have hope of having a good piloting career in the US, I've accepted now that it just isn't going to happen unless I go to Asia.

Yeah because if I didn't then I would get a 50% payraise about 24 months before I get furloughed. The only way I vote yes on more than 76-seats is if I get a $4 million dollar bonus for signing. Then I can retire before I get furloughed.

Absolutely!!! Since we are in the fantasy world here (50% raise for 12,000 pilots for 4 more seats on a reduced fleet) why not ask for a cool $1,000,000 bonus for allowing 77 seaters?

You are missing the point. But like the old joke about asking a woman to sleep with you for a million dollars, then asking her if she would accept 50 instead. It is all about negotiation. ANY of this is pure spitball speculation anyway, but steadfastly drawing a line in concrete will get you nothing... and I mean... nothing. EVERYTHING is negotiable. It is just a matter of what your price is. You might be condemning guys to furlough because you allow no scope concessions. It seems as if there is a belief that if we give nothing on scope, then furloughs will be avoided... interesting leap in logic, but I get it. There is a real possibility that it could have the exact opposite effect. I don't necessarily know that it would, but I am also willing to look at the whole picture. If you don't, we are going to head for the same point in space that American now occupies, and I am not referring to BK, but merely the fact that their line in the concrete has gotten them nowhere for years. Talk amongst yourselves.

Then you could very well enjoy a few more years of wage and seat progression stagnation. Lines in concrete get you lines in concrete.
