Thank the *beep* lord relatively few people read this forum out of 10's of thousands of pilots. Astounding.

JetBlue is cool. Good place to work. Improvements needed and coming along - like anywhere. Big improvements for the years I've been here. JetBlue might always be a small step behind in pay - not a bad move (big picture - many can't). A step ahead not always so good (many forget).

JetBlue won't have problems attracting or keeping pilots. Ever. If 3200+ applicants apply in a short window and we hire 150 bodies a year - we took 5% of a talented pool in a year. We keep the window open for a month and we'd have 15,000 apps. Same as anyone. JetBlue knows what they are doing . The ALPA crowd here not so much.

Nice new OC drive by the way. I here it's not going well.

3A will fail if there is a god. Tissues are ready.

Why do you want 3A to fail?

Management tool. You must be the new VP of the DR.

IMHO regardless of the verdict 3A is a win for the pilot group. It has done more to expose the fraudulent nature and deceit of the DR then anything else.

You are correct. Better investing, albeit kicking and screaming, than not at all!

Our peers secure a level of investment in their careers via collective bargaining. Jb Pilots secure free Pizza and ongoing "engagement" with MGMT.

The APA begged him to block the strike - they didn't have the money and therefore didn't have the unity. They did it via ALPA who actually had the communication channel to the White House - and if you contact anyone involved at the time they can confirm it.

Coming along like the recent healthcare changes you mean?

Like anywhere???? Yeah, like anywhere except below average in every category.

They could easily lower it to 3000 total ifthey had to and a flood of applicants would come. Even with the current requirements, there is no shortage if applications on file.

As for healthcare, it is a huge deal. A couple pilots I know at Jetblue have a pretty bad deal. I'm maxed on my deductible and now pay 10% while the insurance covers 90. In a similar scenario, one Jetblue friend of mine said he's on a 20% split 80% insurance. That adds up big time! Our max is 6,000 out of pocket. I think my friend said 12,000 out of pocket for him but that's hard to believe even by JetBlue standards.
I interviewed at VX in 2008. There were 13 in my interview group. The only 2 to get hired from this group of Skybus, ATA, Sun Country, Mexicana Captains, line instructors and glass veterans...1 Skywest turboprop f/o and 1 Aloha classic 737 f/o...so don't talk about VX's published mins, they don't mean anything!

Recently, OSC received 200 requests for training records from other companies. That's 8% of your pilot group, which seems like a lot to me.
