Seriously Bluedriver? Out of my crash pad alone we lost 4 pilots recently.
Since when has a chief pilot told the truth. According to the chief pilot you have an industry standard retirement of 13%.
According to the chief pilot it's impossible to have additional vacations over the busy periods yet every other airline manages to do so.
Read the PVC email.
When will the pilot group realize management lies a lot more often than they tell the truth.

I call bs but for other reasons.
Training records being requested typically mean an applicant is hired or at least very close to it. I just doubt that we have 200 pilots in that process at the carriers that are hiring AND would leave for. I doubt anyone's left for Virgin or Spirit and United is still mostly calling those hired ~2007 but never given a class date. I believe it's been real quiet at Delta as well as Alaska.
I certainly believe 200+ would leave but I don't think its plausible that many found a new home all at once.

So, did I read the PVC e-mail correctly? Basically all that talking that supposed to go on between management and the PVC re: new PEAs and PPAs is pretty much over because the company wouldn't agree to a process agreement?

Cue the juicers with their shock and disbelief. This is what we have been trying to tell some of you. Do you see how the DR works?
There are no negotiations. In the end the company will take what they want, period. They always have and always will under the DR. We told you so. Enjoy the DR!

In all seriousness, I'm curious about what the company wouldn't agree to as part of the process. Was it just the requirement of PVC approval or was it possibly the access to data that the PVC wanted to require a more informed decision? Honestly, if it's the former, if they can't get it past the PVC, they must be willing to churn out the $$$ to Ford & Harrison to sell it to the pilot group, whatever it is. Doesn't fill me with a whole lot of hope if we can't even see common ground on HOW to reach an agreement, much less actually reaching one.
