Honestly guys and gals, how does all this help move the thread along? I sub'ed to the post just wanting to hear "Who's been hired?" and hopefully be able to gauge by their qualifications when I will be hired.
I think we all just want to know what the companies are looking for. Leave the opinions of who's training is more valuable up to the interviewers. To be honest, from what I have seen, it's not number of hours, or where those hours were flown... it's getting to that interview and proving that you (all of you, hours, grades, appearance, demeanor, etc...) are worth the chance at a career of a lifetime.
Take it easy. Soon enough we'll all be on the same team helping each other out. Let's not be quick to pass judgement, respect what others have worked hard for and try to help each other out any way possible.

I know 3 regional pilots interviewed at delta with less than 2600. Not one of them had generational family at Delta and not one of them had PIC time. All three were solid people and well rounded individuals - especially one of them.
2 were hired (who happened to be married). 1 slipped during the interview. I think they all were 27 or 28.
There is always someone younger hired than the lady 24 yr old people are complaining about. They just happen to NOT end up on one of these forums.
Is it unfair - possibly. Does it matter to you - no. Why, bc your name and number didn't call so keep trying. There are thousands of regional pilots with thousands of 121 hours who do the EXACT same flying as most mainline counterparts and these regional pilots make far less than mainline/military.
Many of them will not get the call until later.
If you haven't gone to a job fair - stop posting. If you have flown on a commercial flight and didn't bother any pilots you past OR the flight crew that operated your flight - stop complaining. Those were/are missed opportunities to make connections and network.

Just for the record, I'm happy when someone gets hired. Delta new hires, if I ever run into you anywhere, beers and dinner are on me. I was at the schoolhouse awhile back and went upstairs to see what new hires looked like, and get a cup of coffee. That place was frikkin humming. That is a beautiful thing. New hires just make me smile.
Good on ya duck guy (I don't have kids so I don't know your avatar) Beers on us, next time in ANC!

to all JET BLUE pilots....beware! a SCAB has been hired in the 2-2015 class. his name is ROBERT NYLUND. born and passported in the bahamas, this guy was the chief pilot at falcon air express when the december 22-25 christmas strike was authorized by IFALPA. robert nylund twisted all the pilots arms to scab during the strike but only two followed in scab nylund's devil shaped foot prints.
it is a shame that scan nylund did not get caught yet to eliminate him during the training process. some ususpecting jet blue alpa pinned captains are breaking bread and responding to ECAM requests with this scab. he still is on probation. make bahamas air SCAB robert nylund pay the piper!
