The 100 HR within a year rule is a myth now. I was hired in December of 14 and was 18 months into my pentagon (non-flying) tour. It was never once mentioned in the interview.

True, and I too wasn't asked any questions about my lack of recency and its potential impact on training though some trip reports I read mentioned the candidate was asked that type of question.

As to the myth status, I'm not sure how common knowledge that is everywhere. Including within United itself, which is why I wanted to bring it up. I did a CP Meet and Greet after I got my interview invite (it was scheduled before I received the invite and I elected to go anyway), and the CP told me right up front that getting an interview would be close to impossible due to my lack of recency. Towards the end of the meeting when he started to talk about writing me a letter of recommendation I was able to tell him I already had an interview but appreciated the opportunity to get his advice and answer my questions.
