I believe that has changed with this interview cycle to anyone failing the panel interview may re-apply after 1 year. At least that is what the 2 guys were told on my interview day who did not pass.

That must be new. My buddy did well in the interview, probably not on the tests.

Being able to re interview after one year, after failing the face to face, depends on your score. Each person on the panel grades every answer on a point system 1 through 6 1 being your dumb as a rock and 6 being your chuck Yeager's instructor. The total score is what matters. if your total score is super low you'll never be back if it was close but no cigar then you can re interview in a year. I'm not sure how they decide who knows they get to come back and who doesn't.
the example given to me was some people who had very high level recommendations got interviews but they just weren't ready for Delta yet, young pups. they didn't want it so they could never interview again.

I would think younger guys have a much better chance of acing day 1, technical and cog tests. As I get older, I know way less about ATP stuff, and our cog skills naturally fade. I would guess as you get older the delta interview requires waaaay more preparation

Sorry...went a little heavy on the pine tree sarcasm there kid.
Truthfully, I got the MBA to get promoted in the Air Force...and they definitely did not care what I got it in or where from. I was on the road getting crushed with the C-17 and two wars so an online degree was the only solution. AS only knows about it because the online application program asked about education...you can draw your own conclusions as to why.

I am waiting for the airlines to implement some sort of physical challenge to the interview process. IMHO they are missing out on an opportunity to have us hopefuls cage fight a tiger on a network reality show. Heck, I think that's more relevant than asking about GPA's from HS and college a decade+ ago for most

As for the masters degree, I think its pretty much not even looked at. Practically every air force pilot at the rank of major and above has one now. My Arizona State MBA is not scoring me any points. Ive even considered removing it from my application. At job fairs they gloss over the education part and go straight to IP/EP/Check Airman experience.
