Angry JB pilots attendance policy

Check your FOMs. Sure glad my legally-elected bargaining agent collaboratively negotiated this improvement to my contract! Oh wait...

Just another nail in the "culture" coffin.

Whatever was left of it.

Update your iPads otherwise you won't see it. Then look in the appendix. A great read.

For those of us that don't work at Jetblue, what is it?

Its an airline that flies A320 and E190 series aircraft, headquartered in New York.

But thats not important right now.

More proof that our no-voters are some of the stupidest pilots in the industry.

I've come to the realization that parking at a jet-bridge and subjecting my customers and fellow crew-members to unnecessary noise pollution with #1 turning up to a minute after the L1 door has opened, is unsafe and incompatible with prudent operations. Much smarter to have #3 up and online then switch to ground power at MY convenience.

Ironically, after a few years of doing it that way (leaving #1 running), SWA just made the wise decision to adopt the policy you're advocating for safety. We now start the APU (#3 - love it), on every taxi in, shut them both down at the gate, and once ground power and air are hooked up, we shut down the APU. Much safer and more efficient.

However, I'm curious as to your new sick leave policy. We are in negotiations, and are hearing rumors of possible company-wanted changes to our policy.
