Ok, thread revival... How far is too far to "commute" to a reserve job? For instance, would a ATL new hire be alright in Peachtree City and doing reserve duty in the Panhandle of FL? I'm trying to figure out how close to live to either during the first couple of years. Would it make more sense to live more towards the middle of both like Auburn or just take the hit and live closer to the full time DAL job?

Thread bump. Any ATL based commuters out of GSP? Looks like I'll be doing the dreaded double commute, but the Frau wants to be closer to her folks in GSP (Happy Wife, Happy Life). Driving looks like 2.5 hrs minus traffic, about 7 flights a day, and is a two-hop flight to my reserve unit. It appears it may not be too bad. But anyone actually doing it and can chime in? Thanks!
